Craft Room

IMG_0018The Largest Craft Room in Central Ohio!

Maple Brook Memories was designed and built with craft retreats in mind. The 1000 square foot craft room is the main attraction. The area provides plenty of space to stretch out and create. Each person has six feet of work space and a fully adjustable, ergonomic chair. The room is equipped with WiFi, a flat screen TV, Direct TV, DVD/Blue-ray player, and speaker tower with Bluetooth. Large picture windows offer a tranquil view of the grounds while you work. The seating area allows you to step away from your work and unwind by the fireplace. Lighting is essential and there are lights everywhere in the craft room, so there are no bad seats!

Kitchen

It is nice to be able to go away and have your meals planned for you, hosted retreats include delicious home-cooked meals. Around the clock, we offer a variety of sweet and salty, caffeinated and decaffeinated, hot and cold snacks and beverages in our stocked kitchen.

Our No Frills Weekend package gives you full access to the kitchen to make your own meals. With cookware, utensils, and dishes for use while you stay, it is a great option for groups who don’t mind fixing their own food.

Maple Closet

The Maple Closet is filled with tools and products for your use and purchase. There is a workbench for eyelet setting, stamping, punching, die cutting, etc.  If you don’t feel like lugging your Big Shot® and Cricut® out of the house, you can just use ours.  There are a variety of adhesives, paper, and embellishments for purchase.  Don’t worry if you can’t find what you need, Hobby Lobby and JoAnn Fabrics are ten minutes away!  Check out our inventory below:

Accommodations

Maple Brook Memories has 5 bedrooms and 2 fullBathroomJEN bathrooms. Each bedroom is uniquely decorated. Twin beds are provided for every guest along with fresh linens and towels. With a variety of different sized rooms, we can accommodate any sized group, so your group will not need to share a room with strangers. If you and your gang want to stay together, you can! The spacious facility is designed to house 12 guests comfortably.

Bathrooms are equipped with showers and lavatories completely separate and private which allows open access to the vanities while these areas are occupied.  Past guests love the layout of the bathrooms because they never have to wait for someone to shower just so they can brush their teeth.

Don’t worry if you are an early riser or a night owl. Our facility is made for both. The bedrooms are separated from the craft room to insure an enjoyable stay for everyone. The walls even have sound insulation, so you can go to bed or wake up whenever you want without being disturbed by other guests.

Beyond Crafting

While there is plenty to do inside Maple Brook Memories, the outside is an oasis of relaxation. Grab a novel or a scrapbook magazine and relax in a comfy chair on the patio overlooking the pond. Some even enjoy a meal outside in pleasant weather. Take a walk down the lane or the local park 10 minutes down the road. Finish the day with a warm campfire on a cool evening or a late evening soak in the hot tub off the patio.IMG_3384
